What We Do
“Many movement fundraisers face burnout. ROP directly connects us to community, resources that continue to grow, and a voice in the process. We also break bread, enjoy libations, and dance!”
– “Celebration of Grassroots Organizing” Partner
Fundraising can be a form of organizing, power-building, and healing.
We support community organizers and solidarity economy practitioners to align fundraising with movement values.
We offer:
- Sustainer Learning Circles
- Grassroots Fundraisers Circle

“Every time a fundraising goal felt daunting, our cohort helped us work through kinks and cheer us on.”

The Sustainer Learning Circle (SLC) is a yearlong cohort of four grassroots organizations that level up their monthly donor programs in community by:
- Learning and sharing best practices
- Developing a unique sustainer strategy
- Supporting each other to implement the plan
Each organization receives a stipend and matching fund to incorporate into their strategy. Read more about the SLC here.

Grassroots Fundraisers Circle (GFC) is a virtual drop-in space for movement fundraisers in New England to find connection, grounding, and support, and move together from scarcity toward abundance. Meetings are on Monday afternoons once a month, facilitated by fundraising peers.
Spring, 2023 Schedule (Theme: Wisdom In Our Network): Last Fall, we brought in outside experts to learn about donor organizing together. This season, we’re returning to the wisdom we all bring as movement organizers and fundraisers!

We meet on Zoom on the first Monday of the month, 1-2:30 PM.
- Peer Support Space (2/13): Bring your questions and challenges for group discussion
- Values-Aligned Grantwriting (3/13): Hear from “Offering for Movement Grantwriters” alumni
- Liberatory Events (4/10): Hear from the fundraisers behind the “Celebration of Grassroots Organizing”
- Monthly Donors (5/8): Hear from “Sustainer Learning Circle” alumni
- Peer Coaching (6/12): Share your wisdom!
