ROP supports our partners in building sustainer programs because they’re a vital tool to increase resources, independence and sustainability.

Seed Sustainers,” or community members making monthly donations to ROP, will be an integral piece of ROP’s community and receive:

  • Access to virtual gatherings and insider updates on ROP’s work
  • Special invitations to ROP events
  • Resources for developing your donor activism
  • Emerging opportunities to support movement building in New England

Help us reach 150 Seed Sustainers and unlocking a $5,000 matching gift! Become a Seed Sustainer today!

We’ll celebrate with a Seed Sustainer Thank You Party happening virtually on Thursday, March 30, at 5:30 PM. Register here.

Our current offerings are:

SUSTAINER LEARNING CIRCLE (SLC): A bilingual (English/Spanish) yearlong cohort of grassroots organizations working to level up their monthly donor programs in community by learning and sharing best practices, developing a unique sustainer strategy, and supporting each other to implement the plan. Español

NEW FUNDRAISERS COHORT (NFC): A cohort-based training program for movement fundraisers who are new to the field or seeking to develop their skill-set. Participants will build hard skills, learn fundraising best practices, and develop a shared analysis of the nonprofit industrial complex and their role in it.

OFFERING FOR MOVEMENT GRANTWRITERS (OMG): Hosted by the Movement Sustainability Commons, a cohort for grantwriters to deepen and strengthen their grantwriting practice through six sessions of skillbuilding & political education, a writing retreat, and coaching.

GRASSROOTS FUNDRAISERS CIRCLE (GFC): A monthly virtual drop-in space for movement fundraisers of all levels to find connection, grounding, and support, and move from scarcity toward abundance. Discussions focus on different areas of fundraising skill or analysis, with opportunities to share the skills and resources we have in our community.

We prioritize small New England-based community organizing groups that are BIPOC, working-class, and LGBTQ led. We focus on organizations using basebuilding and solidarity economy strategies. Selection is based on funding availability and consultation with ROP advisors, facilitators, and current program participants.

One-time donations also make our work possible. Donate here, through our fiscal sponsor Resist, Inc.

You can also mail a check to Resist, P.O. Box 301240, Boston, MA, 02130. Put “ROP” in the memo line.
